Explicación de las listas de reproducción

Anterior Siguiente

A playlist is a list of clips along with metadata. Cada lista de reproducción tiene un contenido RSS para publicar en aplicaciones de podcast y un widget de incrustación de listas de reproducción para publicar en un sitio web. From your listeners’ point of view, an Omny playlist is a podcast of episodes that they interact with in their podcast platform’s apps.

Playlist Media Format

Video in Omny Studio es una función beta. La interfaz de usuario y otros detalles pueden cambiar a medida que preparamos esta función para usted.

A playlist can contain audio clips, video clips, or a mix of both. With Media Format, you can specify the primary way for your audience to consume these clips: Audio-first or Video-first.

  • Audio-first: Omny Studio serves your playlist’s video clips and audio clips as audio. Use this setting for audio-only programs and for platforms that do not support video playback.

  • Video-first: Omny Studio serves your playlist’s video clips as video and audio clips as audio. Use this setting for platforms that support video podcasts, like Apple Podcasts.

For details on how your podcast refers to its video and audio clips, see RSS Feeds.

Administrar listas de reproducción

A podcast should be its own individual program, and a playlist should not be created under an existing program to house a unique podcast. Playlists are not intended to be used as individual or distinct podcast shows. You should not create a new playlist for a new season of a podcast.

However, a playlist can have completely different metadata from the program it is in, including title, description, artwork, category, and so on. Metadata that you specify in a playlist overrides program-level metadata in the playlist. If you leave a metadata field blank in a playlist, Omny takes its corresponding value from its program for the RSS feed.

Múltiples listas de reproducción

You can optionally create more than one playlist for a program. This gives you the flexibility to curate selections of content for your listeners. For example, you might create a "best of" feed to publish separately from the full show feed.

A program can have up to 5 playlists. If you need more than 5 playlists to curate, please contact support.

Playlists have no effect on targeting and reporting in TAP, TAP Programmatic, and Podcast Metrics. These applications work with only your program, which appears as a Station.

If you are currently using Playlists in Omny as individual shows and wish to target or report on them, you need to convert them to individual Programs. For more information, see Convert a Playlist to a Program.
